Hey guys,
First and foremost, I apologize if this isn't exactly the best place for this; I understand if the theme around here is geared more towards the discussion of 'good' vs 'bad' design as opposed to more technical, how-to/help me side. This topic happens to be of the latter variety. Please delete/move if this is out of place, though i figure my odds of finding help were best here.
All that said, some background my/question: I'm a 3D artist, and work most of my models entirely on my own from concept to composition. As a result of this, I have a rather beefy rig connected to a 50' 1080p LED TV that I use as a main display, with 2 22' off on the side as secondaries. As you can imagine, I have lots of screen space, and typically it's all being used with one application or other (photoshop, maya, and mudbox are almost always running simultaneously) However, to do the majority of my texture painting, I use a Yoga ThinkPad (with the digitizer/pen) folded into a tablet. As a drawing device, it's absolutely fabulous; particularly when bored and on the go. Unfortunately though, since it's a totally different computer, there can be a lot of file shuffling and version changes, which can occasionally get tedious. Or, even worse, the fact that i'm using a 13' screen while sitting 3 feet from nearly 100' of diagonal screen space right in front of me.
Laptop Touchpad Drawing Program
To be specific, I'm looking for as seamless a way as possible to use my tablet as a drawing with my main PC. I've considered using a remote desktop, but was fearful for weird lag/loss of quality/other joys of networked machines. Its also essential the drawing/digitizer retain their pressure sensitivity while acting on the main screen. It'd be great if there was an app or something specifically for this, even if it did cost me something, so long as it does what i'm looking for well. Or perhaps a way to run a single instance of an application connected to multiple machines? Hopefully you guys can help me, +1 free internet point for everybody who can lend a hand! Thanks guys.

now assuming I cannot fix this problem?
I'm not clear about the scope of this problem or its symptoms. Driver asio maya 44 usb driver. Does the laptop have a Touch screen? If so, the Touch pad is redundant and you may not care that it is not as functional as it might be without your Tablet attached. In fact, I always have disabled my Touchpads and just make do with real Touch either by finger or pen or attach a real mouse when I want extra pointer control that cannot be mistaken as 'clicks'.
Also, it's possible that W8 is allowing you to use the W7 driver but not its multi-touch gestures because the W8 Touch Language deprecates such functionality.
touch interactions shouldn’t change radically based on the number of fingers touching the screen.

So, I think I would concentrate on pointer control for your two screens using your Tablet. Do you have that? E.g. can the Tablet act as a giant Touchpad? For both your Desktop and your Laptop? Having extra pointer control and not having to worry about getting spurious 'taps' while using it would be useful, I think.
